50th Whaling Days: Honoring Tradition with Iconic Branding

Whaling Days is an annual event held in "Old Town" Silverdale, Washington, on the last weekend of July. From July 26th to July 29th, 2024, the community celebrated the 50th anniversary of this beloved tradition. I was tasked with creating marketing assets for our Kitsap County Regional event, representing the John L. Scott Real Estate offices in Silverdale, North Kitsap, South Kitsap, and Bainbridge Island.

My goal was to design a brand that would be both memorable and meaningful for the locals who have attended Whaling Days over the years. I focused on integrating our JLS Kitsap Regional team branding with elements that represented the essence of Whaling Days. The design featured a whale's fin and the title "Whaling Days 50th Anniversary," with a blue-toned color palette to symbolize the Pacific Ocean.

I applied this design to 250 tote bags, which our brokers handed out to the public at our JLS Kitsap booth. This project has been one of the most rewarding I’ve ever worked on, and I am incredibly proud of the final result.
